Tuesday Tip- Fall Scents

September 23, 2015
We are finally getting into fall here. I don't know about you, but the I love fall. I love the weather. I love the colors. I love the smells of fall as well. Many people start looking toward fall spice candles and melted waxes. The problem with these candles is the toxic chemicals they contain. These chemicals can aggravate respiratory problems and negatively affect health overall. Young Living Essential Oils give you an alternative. With essential oils you can get the scent you love along with therapeutic health benefits. Below are some of my favorite oils to diffuse for fall.

Nutmeg: Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) has a sweet, warm, spicy scent similar to the spice commonly used in cooking. Comforting and soothing, nutmeg helps boost energy.*

Clove: Clove essential oil promotes a healthy immune response, and may support overall wellness. Clove has been used traditionally as a spice for thousands of years, and provides a rich and spicy addition to your favorite recipes.*

Thieves: Thieves® essential oil blend was inspired by the legend of four 15th-century French thieves who formulated a special aromatic combination composed of clove, rosemary, and other botanicals they used while robbing the dead and dying. The combination of spice and citrus oils makes for a wonderful scent along with the immune support this oil offers.*

Light the Fire: The warm, spicy aroma of Light the Fire™ includes Mastrante and Northern Lights Black Spruce from Young Living’s Ecuador and Canada farms, along with Nutmeg, Cassia, Ocotea, Canadian Fleabane, Lemon, Pepper, and Hinoki. This unique and inspired essential oil blend was formulated by D. Gary Young for Young Living’s 2015 International G.rand Convention. Diffuse this blend for an inspiring fragrance in any environment.*

Orange: Adding Orange to any of these spicy oils leads to a wonderful uplifting scent.

*The information on these oils was taken from Any health statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.*

At the event, you will be able to sample som...

Tuesday Tip- Oils for Focus

September 15, 2015
The kiddos have been back to school for a week now, some for longer. As we get further into school, students tend to lose focus and become antsy. Essential Oils can help our children to focus and help us to focus as well. Here are a few oils that may help support brain function.

Brain Power Essential Oil Blend: This oil is a favorite for many. Diffuse it in the office or place it in your child's diffuser necklace for an uplifting and inspiring scent.

Clarity Essential Oil Blend: This blend

Thursday Thought- Seed to Seal Guarantee

September 10, 2015

Last Thursday, I talked about one of the reasons I chose to continue my support of Young Living after receiving my Premium Starter Kit as a gift. The biggest reason I currently am drawn to Young Living is their commitment to serving the communities in which they work, especially in their serving of the children in those communities through the Young Living Foundation. Today, I am going to tell you about another great feature of Young Living.
Another reason I chose to continue with Young Livin...

Tuesday Tip- KidScents Collection

September 8, 2015
Healthy snacks are important for school as I shared in my last Tuesday Tip. Another way to support your child as they head back to school is with the Young Living KidScents Collection. Essential Oils are potent and need to be diluted for children. Young Living is dedicated to providing the purest essential oils, so they are especially powerful. With this in mind, Young Living created a collection just for children. The oils in this collection are diluted with coconut oil for use with children...

Thursday Thought- Why support Young Living?

September 7, 2015
There are a number of reasons to choose Young Living over other essential oil companies. The oils are pure as guaranteed by the Seed to Seal Guarantee (I will cover this in another post.) When you sign up with Young Living you receive an awesome support system. But there is one part of Young Living that has really inspired me. This is their Young Living Foundation (formerly the D. Gary Young Foundation). This foundation supports local charities and the communities in which Young Living operat...

Tuesday Tip- Healthy Snacks for Back to School

September 1, 2015
We are headed into fall and back to school. I'll be going back to school to teach Media for 1100 students in kindergarten through 5th grade. As a teacher, it makes me really sad when I see students that have a hard time concentrating because they are hungry or because the food they ate was too full of sugar. As a teacher, I know the importance of eating healthy snacks for my students and the importance of healthy snacks for ourselves as adults as well. When considering what types of snacks to...
